Resolution Part II

After I attended a brainwash session organized by my company. Well it's suppose to be a session to inform you, the objectives for this year. Anyway, they invited a famous speaker, Dr Blaine. He is Steve Covey's partner. ( The 7 habits of highly effective people).

One thing that he said that struck me at a personal level. He said that you should only have 2 -3 objectives. The chances of achieving is > 70 %. If you have 5 - 6 the chances cut down by half. If you have > 10, your chances are around 10%. Shocking.. but in a way true. Having lesser objectives make you focus more on achiving them. So, me being a fast learner decided to focus my resolution to only 3. They are ... not in any order

a. Reduce weight by 10kg.
I don't care whatever I do, as long as it boils down to loosing 10kg. I can run. hop. skip or jump.
b. Work on project Greater Good.
This one compulsory if I want to live to a ripe old age of 100 without being assassinated by my relatives.
c. Save money for renovation.
This goes without saying, unless I want to sleep on the floor since I will be getting my house end of this year.

Anything else is trifle. I would sincerely love to learn a new instrument, if my finances allow it. A bit reluctant to drop that resolution away but I guess in a way it will contradict with (c). As such, this year resolution hopefully it's achievable.
